Over Memorial Day weekend we were able to get away and visit some friends of ours in Middleton, Idaho. We had a blast! Our kids love going there because they live on a "mini farm." Jake loved feeding the pigs and chickens every morning and collecting eggs with his friends Timberlynn and Hunter. One morning we woke up to find the pigs had escaped and were out in the pasture with the horses. That was very amusing watching two grown men and Kayla(14) try and get the pigs back in their pen. Another morning the kids went outside to find the neighbors horse in the front yard. Typical things you don't find in the city. They also had fun catching frogs in the pool that wasn't up and running yet. There was a terrible rain storm that came through that the kids ended up drenched and decided to play in the "hot tub" I mean "bath tub". Dylan's favorite activity was riding the quads, "of course!" We took the kids to an actual "drive in" to watch a movie, something I remember doing lots when I was a child and Robert spent an afternoon at the "Y" with the kids swimming. After Robert left with the younger kids, Cody realized he locked his keys in the car so Cody, Jake Legg, and Dylan all had to walk back a couple miles (something Dylan wasn't use to). Theresa and I took the girls shopping and somehow I ended up with a paper bag over my head standing inside Papa Murphy's (thank you Kayla). We stayed up late talking or playing cards like we used to do, it was so much fun. Thank you Rick and Theresa for sharing your home with us. We love you!!!!

This was taken in the car when everyone was happy. Must have been only a few minutes into the trip. lol

While we stopped in Middleton, Karissa and Luke went on to Idaho Falls to visit with Luke's family over the weekend. Karissa was able to visit Evans Beauty School in Rexberg where she will attend school. They had a good visit riding horses, quads and spending time with her future family.
