Cousins

This was a cute picture of the cousins. I just had to post on my blog as they grow up so fast. They have such good imaginations when they get together and get along so well. Notice Dylan's lovely boot.

Unfortunate Event

Unfortunately during Megan's tournament Dylan managed to break his foot. They had a skate park there so Dylan spent quite a lot of time on his skate board. However, when it was time to leave he decided to borrow someones scooter and try and jump over something. Well needless to say it didn't go so well. He fell and got up and was limping. He told me his foot was hurting a bit. Well by that evening it was pretty swollen and turning pretty colors. I took him in on Sat. morning before Megan's next game and sure enough it was broke. He cried and was so upset because he wanted to go back and skate some more. This is not the best way to start the summer. I'm sorry Dylan.

Soccer, Soccer and More Soccer!!!!!

Megan had a soccer tournament this last weekend. Her team did incredibly well! They won the first game 4-0, won the second game 3-0
Then had a loss of 2-0. They still went on into the semi-finals and played a good game. The score was a tie 3-3 which then went on into overtime of two 8 minute halves. After that it was still tied 3-3 so it went on to penalty kicks. Unfortunately the team lost. They fought hard for two hours of intense soccer in the heat. This was a premier level tournament and the girls proved they could play at that level taking 3rd place overall. Good Job ladies!!!1

Happy Father's Day!

We had a really nice Father's Day this year. The young women in our ward made Father's Day baskets that could be purchased as a fundraiser for girls camp. I bought one and so Robert along with many Dad's at church all were wearing the same tie that came in the basket. It was fun. We had my brother Micah, Starr and the kids over for dinner and we had a b-b-q. We also were able to celebrate my niece, Brittany's birthday. She turned the big 11. It was a nice and relaxing day for Robert. We love you and Thank You for everything you do for our family.

New Dent

No, it wasn't a fender bender. It was my lovely husband trying to be cool while I was pulling into the driveway. He was out playing basketball with the kids and decided to try some "cool move" which involved the van. Well as you can see it wasn't so "cool!" Actually it was really funny. He tried to be sly and lean against the van until I went inside and then punch the dent out. This is actually after he pushed it out. Oh, Boys will be Boys!

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

I'm going to miss seeing this every morning. I would always watch out the window for the boys to get on the bus and always would wonder what they talk about. This will be the last day for this as Dylan will be catching the bus with Megan next year and Jake will be all alone. He is really going to miss his brother. I'm sure they had some real bonding moments together this year.

Good-Bye Elementary Hello Middle School

Dlylan and Mr. Anderson (A.M. teacher)

Dylan and Mrs. Mackey (P.M. teacher)

Dylan and Mr. Rold (P.E. teacher)

Dylan had his 5th grade graduation yesterday on Wednesday June 17th. I can't believe he is going to be in middle school. This year he transitioned into public school after being home schooled for 5 years. I was so nervous about this but he did AWSOME!!! He really had a great year at Endeavour, which was a brand new school this year. His teachers were amazing. Mr. Anderson was the best teacher anyone could ask for. Good luck next year Dylan!!

I CAN SEE!

Megan has been telling me for some time now that she needs glasses and couldn't see the board at school. Well now that school is out for her I finally took her in and sure enough she needed them. Doesn't she look so cute!

Seminary Graduation

Karissa had seminary graduation last night June 07, 2009. It was funny because she started off strong this year going every day and then just sort of fizzled out. So instead of graduating with 4 years she only has 3 years. The funny part is she was asked to speak. We laughed and Karissa says "Well I guess I'm still qualified!" She gave a wonderful talk on how seminary has really helped her gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel and also a love for the scriptures. She bore her testimony also. She has grown so much this past year into such a beautiful young women. We are so pleased with her.

IT'S OFFICIAL

Well it's now official. My daughter is engaged. I told Luke he couldn't propose till after Karissa graduated. Well she graduated on Friday June 05 and was engaged on Saturday June 06. What an obedient son in law to be. Luke took Karissa up to the Seattle Space Needle where they had their first date and got down on one knee. He told her how much he loves her and then asked her to marry him. She of course said "YES!" So the date is set for Sept. 19, 2009. It will be a busy summer for me as I will be planning a wedding. Of course I have no idea what I'm doing. YIKES!!! Her dad and I are really excited for her and wish her all the happiness.

Graduation

I can't even believe I have a child that has graduated. Karissa graduated on June 05, 2009 from River Homelink. We are so proud of her. It was a really nice ceremony with only 33 seniors. Because her school is so small each student is recognized before receiving their diploma. Karissa not only finished high school but also earned credits at the Skills Center cosmetology program and was also her school's Senior Class president this year. Her consultant spoke of Karissa's warm personality, love of people an Joy of Life. She left Karissa with a quote by Albert Schweitzer "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."

MOM-CATION

A good friend of mine invited a bunch of women on a weekend geteway to her Sunriver home. This is the fifth time I have enjoyed a trip here. Twice we have come with our families and it is now one of my children's favorite place to go. As you can see the deer come right up to you and will eat out of your hand. My favorite thing is just being able to relax. I did go on a bike ride this trip. The trails are beautiful. Barbara got a twenty five mile bike ride one morning - I think she's crazy. Mine lasted 20 minutes - that's all my legs and bum could handle. Yes, I'm really out of shape.
Candy, Sarah, Barbara and Lynell enjoy a little ride in the village.

Front row, Laura, Lynell, Candy and Heather - We enjoyed a nice dinner outside in the village.
Thank you Candy for a wonderful vacation with good friends!
